This is Catherine's dog, Sawyer. I am in love with her by the way. Chelsea brought her dog Chloe too and the two of them were bff all weekend!

This was super funny. Catherine happened to go into the kitchen after we had all gone to bed on Saturday and found soap suds all over the floor! It took us an hour to clean up but is funny now! This is Catherine and Cara in cleaning action.

This weekend was super fun. This was our annual trip to the lake with my close group of girlfriends. The group consisted of me, Chelsea, Cameron, Ashley, Catherine and then my two friends, Cara and Kathryn! Sadly, the lake water was too low because of this dang drought and we couldn't take the boat or jet ski out on the water. That is always one of my favorite parts so I was really bummed out! But we spent Saturday laying out on the dock! Cara, Kathryn and I got on a tube (which was huge) and paddled it out to the middle of the lake so that was fun! And I got to drive the golf cart around so that made up for not being able to ride the jet ski..... sorta but not really. I am just trying to convince myself of that. The rest of the time we all just talked and laughed! I seriously have the greatest friends in the world!

Philadelphia baby!

This weekend I went to Philadelphia to visit my old roommate Anna. I traveled up there with my friend Jenny and we had a very fun-filled weekend. I had such a great time and it went by way too fast. Here are a few pictures from the many that I took this weekend! They aren't in order whatsoever!

This is me, Jenny and Anna in front of Independence Hall! The Liberty Bell was also in this area. I don't know why but I thought the bell was out in the open and I was so excited to get a picture of me hugging the liberty bell! To my disappointment, it was inside a building and feet away from being touched.

Anna and Daniel. It was so good to see Daniel again too! He goes to the University of Pennsylvania so we got to spend time with him while we were in the city (Anna lives about 20 minutes outside the city in a place called Elkin Park). Also, New Jersey is the land you see directly behind them!
The LOVE sign! This picture is definitely tricky.... you might think it is this big thing in the middle of the park but NO! It is so much smaller than you think it is going to be. But it is the original one so that makes up for the smallness.... maybe.

I just went for the weekend but as you can see, we fit a lot of things in. We even looked on a Philly calender in a bookstore and we hit 8 out of the 12 things featured! I got to see where Anna goes to school and all kinds of touristy things!

This week is going to be crazy as I have a test, a group project and I will be working everyday! But then next weekend it is off to the lake and I cannot wait!

I have had the busiest week! This weekend has been fun but I babysat a lot too. The first picture is of me and my new roommates. We hung out on Friday night. We played lots of board games! On Saturday, I studied, babysat the cutest family and then hung out with Cara and Kathryn who are in the other picture! I think our colors look good together! This coming week I have 2 tests, a huge project, 3 group meetings and I also have to go and volunteer so it will probably be an even busier week. boo. I am headed now to babysit some more and then tonight I get to watch the Emmys!

this week

These images aren't from this past week but they are still fairly recent. The first on is of Cara, Kristen, me and Kathryn. We went to a pirate themed party right before school started. We were the only ones who took the theme seriously, as we spent multiple hours getting ready. The other one is of Mr. Camden Lane Brown. He said to me "Cara, take a picture of me licking the flowers." so i did and here it is. I love him so much. Anyway, I didn't take any new pictures this week so hopefully these will suffice. I think they give good insight to my life because I spend a lot of time with those girls, as well as with Camden.

There was not much to my week except for school, homework and babysitting. Ofcourse, I babysat Ethan and Luda. I also babysat Anna Parker and Jackson on friday night with my dear friend heather and then on saturday night I babysat 3 boys. Except I really babysat them all day. Their names were Zachary, Eric and Grant. Eric and Grant are twins and everyone knows I love twins! We had a fun filled day of playing checkers, putting together puzzles, playing pirates and so much more. I babysat them for a total of 12 hours! I have the same thing in store for this week.... classes and babysitting. I can't wait to go to Philadelphia in 12 days though and then the weekend after that is the girls' lake trip at Chelsea's lake house!!!!!! Thats all i can come up with for now. Peace out homies.

This labor weekend was so much fun! On friday I got to babysit Ava and Claire, the two cute little girls in the picture. I also got to hang out with jen and jason too so it was a super fun night! Saturday was Laura's wedding. I had such a fun time and saw a lot of people that I haven't seen in a long time! The picture is from the reception of me, Coley (my roommate from freshman year), Laura and Ashley. Laura had such a classy wedding. She got married at the chapel at Meredith College and then the reception was at the museum of history downtown. I have so many friends now who are married! The rest of the weekend I got some nice R&R at my dad's house. My fun friends julie and perry were over - we swam in the pool and cooked out. I couldn't have asked for a better labor day weekend and I am sad that it is coming to an end. I am headed now to do homework all afternoon today - yuck!

hello dear people

so I decided to join the craze and have a blog. hopefully it will be an easy way for all of you to keep up with me since I am not always very good at communicating. i only hope that i will post on here regularly. but i do hope you enjoy this. thanks for visiting my blog!

so i just started my last semester of college! i am only taking 12 hours and i cannot wait until i graduate (12.15.07!!!) I am working on my resume right now and then i will start applying for jobs very soon! I am actually applying for jobs in several different states (SC,VA, OH, PA, GA) and ofcourse I will be applying for many in north carolina. so we will see! i am excited but nervous about the next stage of my life.

and this is how i see my life playing out right now..... i want to have a job for a year or two then ideally i want to get my MSW..... whether that will really happen is TBD. i imagine myself getting married in oh, lets say 6 years. thats plenty of time to travel, meet somone, fall in love and plan a wedding. then i can begin adopting my babies! "i am going through a phase right now where i don't want to push babies out of my body" (cate, that was for you). but that quote was by me and its true. and my babies are as follows: emma, mason, kennedy, burke and georgia. also, kennedy and burke are twins! remember, this is just my ideal life and i know that it may not really happen.

let's see.... im sure a lot of you know about my health issues i am dealing with. So far, all of my tests have come back normal! i am happy about that but i am also very frustrated because most of the time i don't feel very good. it is also hard to deal with this while i am in school and working but i just have to deal with it different each day.
