New Table!

My good friends Ashley and David bought a new dining table and they gave me their old one! I am very appreciative as I have not had a table in about 6 months! When I eat at home, I sit on the couch. Our coffee table is too short to sit at. So I am thrilled! I went to World Market and bought these placemats that were on sale. And I had to buy some fresh flowers! Thank you Ashley and David for providing me with a place to eat my food at! :-)

Weeeeeeeeee

Today is such a beautiful day!! Bella and I were running some errands and I let her have her window rolled down! She has never been the dog to hang out the window but she did today and LOVED it! She was so cute! I love her ears in the picture above!!!

Another Day with Camden!!!

On Saturday, Ashley and David ventured off to Ikea in Charlotte which meant I got to hang out with Camden for the day!! We had so much fun again! First we went to eat lunch at Armadillo Grill, one of my very favorites! Then, we went to the Museum of Natural Sciences downtown. I love this museum so much! We spent a good 3 hours there. Above is Camden in the infamous tree with bats!

This is Camden in a dinosaur's footprint! This was by far his favorite part of the museum! We hung out here for probably 20 minutes and even went back to it again later!! We went to story time at the museum and it was all about turtles. I found it quite entertaining and educational myself!

Emily was keeping Anderson for the day so we headed over there in the afternoon for some fun hangout time! This is Anderson, Camden and Levi. One of the funniest things ever was that Emily and I (but mainly Emily) dressed Anderson up in Mecaden's old clothes. We nicknamed him Andrea and had quite a few laughs! I know it seems so mean but at least he is young enough not to be scarred from it! As curious as you might be, I am going to spare you of the pictures I took of him dressed up since my blog is not private! :-)

Sweet Levi!!!

This is Camden and Mecaden. To my understanding, they have an arranged marriage so they decided to have a little date night! Look at Mecaden puckering up!! So cute!

Hug time!

Look at Camden caring for his girl! Mecaden Brown is such a cute name!

This was their dinner date! Zaxby's and green beans! Look at them laughing!!

Afterwards Camden and I headed home! Emily and Anderson came too! I had such a great Saturday! I can't wait to do it again!!

Goodbye, Laura!

Tonight me and several friends got together for a girls night out! We have been planning on doing this for a while but tonight we did it as more of a going away night for Laura. She is moving to the beach (along with Caleb and Grace Elizabeth of course!) and leaving in the morning!! I am so sad to see her go! I know I will still see her since her family lives here and I may even get to visit her down at the beach some! Laura was my suite-mate at Meredith College and my roommate in an apartment after that for almost 2 years. This past year she lived about 3 miles away from me. She is one of my dearest friends so I am definitely sad to see her go! Anyway, we went to eat at Olive Garden and stayed and talked for a long time! I also dropped Laura off and got to play with Grace Elizabeth and say goodbye to her as well!

Emily, me, Laura, Ashley and Chelsea. These are the girls that I have playgroup with every week. I have been friends with them all for a very long time but our hangout time has come to mean so much to me and I am so thankful for them. We will miss having Laura apart of the group!

Good luck to the Robinson family!!! I love you guys!

Pullen Park

And today we went to Pullen Park! The rides just open (not the train though) so we headed over there with our good friends Heather and Hugh. Heather is another nanny and Hugh is a year older then John. We hang out with them once or twice a week and have SO much fun!!! Above is John and Hugh holding hands..... they did this completely on their own!

This was John's first time riding the boats (with me anyway). He had so much fun on them!!!

We will definitely be heading back to Pullen a lot more this spring and summer!

Shelley Lake

This week we went to Shelley Lake with Ashley, Camden and Anderson. It was such a beautiful day and we had so much fun! This is the boys feeding the ducks and geese.

The park at Shelley Lake is definitely my favorite park right now. I just love the playground there. It is nice to have a change from Laurel Hills Park, which is our normal hangout spot!

Bella and I stayed with a friend of mine this week for two nights. Bella went exploring and found this MASSIVE chewy bone. It was SO funny to me. I get her the same bone but it is not this big. This one is at least 5 times the size of hers. She couldn't even actually pick it up with her mouth... she had to drag it. It belongs to one of our friend's dogs who is HUGE. I think this bone will last her forever!!!

Friday

Despite it being rainy and cold after the beautiful weather this week, I am having the BEST day! And it is just the beginning!! Here is why:
1. I am just so excited for the weekend!
2. My uncle called and I am getting a HUGE tax return!
3. I talked to my dad and I can text unlimited again!
4. Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer broke up!
5. Something else secret which I chose not to put on my blog!

My days don't usually go this way so I am pumped baby!

Hope everyone has a great weekend!! :-)

My day with Cam

This past Saturday, Camden and I spent the whole day together!! This was the weekend of Ashley and David's big move so Cam and I hung out while they did all the hard work. We had such a fun day!!!! I had planned on taking pictures of each thing we did but that didn't happen. so here are a few pictures. The day started with all of us going to his swim lessons at the YMCA and then Camden and I split from there. First, we went to Tookies and I let Camden buy something small. Next we grabbed some Chick-fil-a and took it to Umstead for a picnic. Above is Camden eating his food by the lake!

He was determined to see fish but the water was VERY muddy looking. He ended up getting really excited about the water bugs though!

This was his favorite bridge!

Okay this is several hours later..... doesn't he loo exhausted? After Umstead, we went to Target and then we went to see Madagascar 2. I actually enjoyed watching it too.... There were a lot of funny parts. After the movie, we went to let Bella out and took her for a little walk. Then we went to get ice cream (oh and we also had gummy bears at the movie...... maybe he has a stomach ache in the picture above... oops!). Then we went to Harris Teeter for like a second to return a movie but he got a balloon. He was having fun letting it fly outside of the window!

Then we went to the park at Shelley Lake. And let me tell you, this kid can rock climb!!! It is a small wall but he was at the top of it in like 2 seconds. Ash, I think he could totally handle a bigger wall!

This is my favorite picture of the day. He wanted me to take this one! After the park, we headed to his new home and then got dinner with the rest of his family! It was definitely a super fun day!!

It's officially popsicle season!!!

You may be asking, "What's popsicle season?" Well, I will tell you! It is when my allergies start acting up and I eat a LOT of popsicles because they make me feel better. A lot of people don't believe me that they actually make me feel better.... but they do!! I am miserable during a lot of the spring.... watery, itchy eyes and lots of sneezing. Most times it is hard for me to even breathe..... when I am hot, it makes everything worse. Popsicles just cool me down and most of the time, cure my symptoms (while I am eating the popsicle).

Don't worry.... most of the popsicles I buy are sugar free. I usually buy the real fruit ones, firecrackers, banana, ice pops and the regular popsicle brand (with the cherry, grape and orange flavors). I am so excited about it getting warm but so sad about my allergies! But since I consider it popsicle season, that does cheer me up quite a bit! :-)

Weaverville, NC - Part 1

As I mentioned the other day, the entire family of my mom's side went to the mountains. It was the 1 year anniversary of my aunt's death and we decided to do this trip in honor of her. We went to Weaverville, NC, about 10 minutes outside of Asheville. We stayed in a big cabin and had JUST enough sleeping places. I slept in a room with my cousins Josie, Jordan and Eli. Friday night we just hung out at the house and had a campfire. Saturday, it took forever for everyone to get showers so we ate lunch and then half of us ventured to Asheville for a few hours. There was a lot of ping pong games going on. We played a lot of other games too and just hung out. We were all going to get lunch together on Sunday out somewhere but that was cancelled when the bad weather started coming. The weekend went by way too fast but it was so much fun! I think we are going to start doing this every year..... or at least I hope so!

Above, is Josie and I.

Me, Jordan and Eli.

Me and Eli.

My cousin Jordan.... this was when we were shopping on Saturday.

Megan and Jason.... so cute!!

My cousin Matthew.

My cousin Jaosn and my mom playing ping pong.

Natalie and my Aunt Bianca.

Part 2

These pictures are so funny to me because with each picture taken there are more people! Above is Josie, Alison and I.

And now Natalie and Jordan hop in.... Eli was debating it. And I am not sure what we are all laughing at but I think that is funny!

And now Eli and Jason are in it! Awww.

And now tyler jumps in. Matthew is the only one not here... he was playing ping pong and didn't want to stop! But I love this picture! It is my favorite one from the trip!

Part 3

This was my cousin Matthew's way of playing ping pong. Quite clever.

Me and my cousins.... minus Jason. I tell ya, it is almost impossible to get a picture of all of us together!

John and Eva

I just wanted to share some cute pictures of John and Eva from our last playgroup. I love the age he is at so much right now. We told them to give each other a hug and a kiss..... and they did!!!!

We started hanging out with Eva when they were both 6 months.... they are only 2 weeks apart so it has been fun watching them grow together over the past year. They can finally really play with each other and enjoy it!
